Bodegas La Caña Albariño 2024 is crafted from organically grown, pergola-trained vines rooted in Galicia’s prized Val do Salnés (85%), with smaller contributions from Condado (10%) and Ribeira de Ulla (5%). These old vineyards flourish in sandy alluvial soils under a humid Atlantic climate, offering expressive, terroir-driven fruit. After hand-harvest and a careful cold soak, approximately 25% of the must is fermented in seasoned wooden puncheons (500–600 L), while the remainder matures in stainless steel—then spends 4.5 to 8 months aging sur lie with bi-weekly batonage, resulting in a wine that’s both texturally rich and meticulously balanced.
On the nose, vibrant notes of poached apricot, white cherry, chamomile, spun honey, and Meyer lemon peelintertwine with hints of blanched almond and floral complexity, all grounded by a characteristic sense of minerality and saline freshness.
On the palate, it’s crisp, energetic, and bone‑dry—defined by a crunchy acidity, a “clean‑cut, salty finish,” and a refined structure that marries textural richness with elegant tension.
