2013 Bianchi Vigneto Valferana Gattinara Reserva

The 2013 Bianchi Vigneto Valferana Gattinara Riserva is a striking expression of 100% Nebbiolo from the historic Gattinara DOCG in northern Piedmont, where volcanic soils and Alpine influences shape wines of remarkable finesse and longevity. Sourced from the renowned Valferana vineyard, this Riserva spent extended time aging before release, allowing its youthful structure to evolve into a wine of exceptional complexity. The bouquet unfolds with aromas of dried rose petals, wild cherry, cranberry, orange peel, crushed herbs, tar, and subtle notes of leather and iron-rich minerality, reflecting the distinctive terroir of Gattinara. The 2013 vintage, celebrated for its balance and freshness, provides outstanding precision and aging potential. 

On the palate, the wine is elegant yet firmly structured, with vibrant acidity supporting flavors of red currant, sour cherry, licorice, savory herbs, and earthy spice.
