Hentley Farm The Beauty Shiraz 2020

Hentley Farm’s The Beauty Shiraz 2020 comes from the estate’s coolest vineyard block in Barossa Valley, where deep red clay soils and morning shade help the fruit ripen with finesse and freshness. The 2020 growing season brought a balance of warmth and cool nights, encouraging steady ripening and concentrated flavour while retaining natural acidity. A small portion of Viognier was co-fermented with the Shiraz, lending lift and aromatic brightness.

Winemaking focused on preserving elegance, with gentle handling, basket pressing, and partial fermentation in oak. The wine then matured for 20 months in French oak, about a third of it new, developing complexity while maintaining balance. Natural malolactic fermentation softened the structure, bringing depth and polish to the final blend.

In the glass, the 2020 Beauty offers dark plum and blackberry notes intertwined with florals, spice, cocoa, and subtle earthy undertones. The palate is both vibrant and refined, showing fine tannins, fresh acidity, and lingering length.
